FAQs

What is The T-Shirt Project?

The project began with a design concept Margaux had incorporating the design of the flag of a state or country into the name of the area’s mission in the language assigned to the missionary. Linden came on board with the desire to offer the designs on more than the basic t-shirt. (She has no objection to t-shirts, but a girl wants options!) Fortunately, Margaux and Linden are sisters so working together to bring The T-Shirt Project to life was effortless! XD XD XD!! Our goal is to offer our designs for every mission in their respective language(s) on every product selected by our team.

But, but??!!

  • What if I can’t find my mission?
  • What if I don’t see my mission design on the product I’m looking for?
  • What if I find my mission but not in the language I want?
  • What about older missions which have since been renamed?

We got you!

  • We got you! There are soon to be more than 500 missions worldwide! Our goal is to offer our designs for every mission in each respective language on every product selected by our team.
  • We’re creating new designs every day and will be adding products as quickly as we can. That being said, if there is a specific mission in a particular language you would like us to add, please let us know, including the type of product you would like to have it printed on!
  • We are committed to accommodating your requests on a First Requested-First Finished basis, and/or by popular demand.
  • Please allow two weeks for design completion and product upload.
  • If you see the design you want but it is not offered on the specific product you’d like, please reach out and we will add it as quickly as we can, usually within 2 business days.

How is shipping calculated?

*Please note: From Oct 15, 2025, to Jan 17, 2026, a $0.40 surcharge for shipping applies to all orders with a US destination address due to peak carrier costs.*

So… we’re not Amazon.

The T-Shirt Project uses multiple print providers with Printify who ship from their respective locations. Various products in a single order may ship from different locations, so the shipping costs are calculated per item and will depend on product type and the provider. Multiples of the same product type in a single order qualify for a reduced shipping cost if they are fulfilled by the same provider. Products which differ significantly in type, size, or are fulfilled by different providers will attach the full individual shipping rate.

We know these costs can add up, and we have tried to price our products accordingly. We are not able to determine or adjust shipping rates, nor do we profit from these charges.

Return Policy

Please double check your order! We cannot accommodate returns if the wrong size or color is selected at the time of order (or for buyer’s remorse.)

Our products are print-on-demand (meaning the products are produced only once ordered) and shipped directly to the customer.

In case of a damaged product or a manufacturing error we will order a reprint or a refund *if you contact us within 25 days of product delivery.* Please provide a clear photo showing the issue. If the issue affects multiple products with the same design please include a photo of all affected items visible in one frame. Minor variations in the placement of the print will not be considered as defects. There is no need to return the damaged product.

In case of a missing package or unsuccessful delivery, please contact us right away.

Can I edit or cancel an order after placing it?

Maybe. Please reach out to us right away!

  • If the order has been sent to production it will not be possible to cancel the order nor to edit or remove products.
  • If we can catch it in time we may be able to add or remove a product, update shipping details, change the shipping method or, if necessary, cancel the order.

There’s something on my shirt…

Garments can sometimes arrive with visible pre-treatment residue. Pre-treatment is crucial for direct-to-garment printing, helping the ink bond to the fabric. Some residue is normal and usually washes out completely with the first wash.

Remember to wash printed garments cold, inside out, and tumble dry low.

Whaaat is that smell?

There may be a faint, slightly vinegary scent on newly printed garments. This is a normal part of the printing process and will disappear after the first wash.

Remember to wash printed garments cold, inside out, and tumble dry low.

How do I care for my garments?

Please wash your garments inside out in cold water and tumble dry with low heat.

Does The T-Shirt Project offer non-mission related designs?

Not yet. There may be design offerings in the future, but those will be featured in different sister-storefronts. For now, our focus is on providing our distinct designs for all of the LDS missions and MTCs worldwide – Taking It Global!

Can I personalize my merch?

Not yet. We would like to offer that option in the future, especially if we get requests, so if that is a feature you would like to see, please let us know!

What if I found a typo?

We want things to be accurate and correct! So if you find a typo or mistake in any of our designs, or even if it’s just in a product description, please let us know and we will work to correct it quickly. There might even be a small thank you gift in it for you!

What if the design on my product didn’t print properly?

We use Printify to publish our designs and have them printed. We have been assured of quality printing and products, but if you should find something to be amiss, please reach out and we will work to rectify the problem as soon as we can.

You said there would be more than t-shirts as well as designs for every mission worldwide. Where are they all?

Patience, Young Grasshopper (find a Gen Xer and ask them). We’re eating the elephant one bite at a time (same!)! We wanted to get the store up and running with the products and designs we have. Rest assured, we will soon cover all of the missions in all of the languages on all of the selected products! If you’re anxious to get your hands on a product with the design for your mission please let us know! We want to provide! We will work on requests on a First Requested-First Finished basis and/or by popular demand.
